Volunteers & Involvement
  Volunteers Needed

The First Tee of Atlanta is looking for adult volunteers that are interested in helping make a positive impact on the lives of young people.  We are always looking for dependable volunteers, and we have several opportunities for a potential volunteer to consider.

Volunteer Instructors for the youth program teach golf and life skill in an "outdoor classroom" or on the range and golf course of John A. White Golf Course.  There are many classes to choose from.  You do not have to be a scratch golfer.
2010 Classes:
Saturdays  9:30 AM to 11:00 AM
Saturdays  11:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Saturdays  1:30 PM to 3:00 PM
Tuesdays - Fridays  4:00 PM to 5:30 PM

You may choose to teach one class or multiple classes.

We are also seeking volunteers for the Golf Course and Youth Program Operations in the following areas:

Administration - Monday - Fridays during office hours
Marshalls - Monday - Sundays during golf course operation hours
Starters - Monday - Sundays during golf course operation hours
Range Pickers - Monday - Sundays during golf course operation hours
Special Events - As Needed
Fundraising Events - As Needed

The volunteer application and information package is available here.

For additional information on the application process contact William Lewis at (404) 756-1868 or by e-mail at billlewis@pga.com, or Vanessa Hawkins at (404) 756-1868 or by e-mail at tftatl@thefirstteeatlanta.org.

  Parent Volunteers

Parents are encouraged to support The First Tee of Atlanta through active volunteerism. Volunteer opportunities include:

Administration - data entry, newsletter production, donor mailings, etc.
Event Management - planning, food prep, decorating, cleaning, etc.
Range Maintenance - range picking, basket retrieval, range management, etc.
Instruction – life skills, golf, SAT prep, etc.

The First Tee of Atlanta relies on dependable volunteer instructors to teach life skills and golf skills to your children. In fact, the ratio of staff to volunteer teachers is 1:10. We have instructors who have faithfully volunteered for nine years because they care for your children. Can we count on you to do your part? When we call on you please say yes.
